Desn111 Project Two

I started off with a human body joint which was the shoulder, my aim was to diagram the movements the shoulder joint could produce. These are the top three diagrams in the image, the large diagram on the right is the most useful as it shows the speed of the movement as well as the difficulty of moving through the movement.

I chose one of the movements and used wood, brass and metal to generate the movement in a model. I used contrasting materials to represent the bones and muscles of the shoulder.

The model has then been diagramed in elevation, plan and axonometric to show the dimensions to allow others to make the model.
